Leominster is a town in the county of Herefordshire, situated on the River Lugg. It has a population of 11,000 people. The town the site of the first battle between the Normans and the Welsh in 1052, the Battle of Llanelli. In the 20th Century, Leominster became the administrative centre for the local government district of Leominster, though this ceased in 1994.
