Cambridge is a municipal borough of east-central England on the Cam River north-northeast of London. Cambridge city takes its name from the crossing of the River Cam. Cambridge is an ancient market town and the site of Cambridge University, established in the 12th to 13th century. Modern architecture of Churchill and Robinson mix with the gardens of Christs College and the medieval chapel of Jesus. Bridges over the river, include the Bridge of Sighs that is built in the same style as the bridge with the same name in Venice.
