Crewe is a municipal borough of west-central England southeast of Liverpool. Crewe is an important railroad junction. 1843 saw the opening of the Crewe Railway Works which was to become world famous for the quality of its steam locomotives. Both Crewe and Nantwich boast many beautiful listed buildings and of particular note are the Municipal Buildings in Earle Street, Crewe the administrative home of the Borough Council and the magnificent Parish Church of St. Mary the Virgin in the centre of Nantwich.
