Dartford is a municipal borough of south-east England. Dartford is situated on the outskirts of London next to the River Thames. Some of Dartford's past is left including a gateway from a palace, a Georgian inn, and some timbered houses. The church has a Norman tower and the tomb of Sir John Spielman, England's first paper maker. The Peasants' Revolt led by Wat Tyler began in Dartford in June 1381.
