Cloucester is a borough of southwest-central England on the Severn River west-northwest of London. On the site of the Roman city Glevum, Gloucester was the Saxon capital of Mercia and is today a market town and industrial centre. The historic Gloucester Docks and a Norman Cathedral are focal points of the city. Gloucester also offers a specialist shopping centre, waterfront cafes, bars and restaurants and boat trips.
