Lincoln is a cathedral city and county town of Lincolnshire, a bridging point over the River Witham that flows to Boston. Located on the site of Roman, Saxon, and Danish settlements, Lincoln was first chartered in 1157. The Usher Gallery and the museum of Lincolnshire are important attractions.
