Blackpool Tourism

Tourism sites for the UK, Europe and worldwide. The tourism selection is helpfully divided so you can find the ideal destination, accommodation, or tourism information to make your holiday a trip to remember. Our sites for UK holidays incorporate cheap B&B holiday accommodation, up to luxury romantic weekend breaks in the Scottish Highlands, in a full board hotel. Camping and caravanning has always been considered a great British holiday pastime, but through tourism sites you will find a whole new world opened up to you. The comprehensive list of holiday services also allows you to search travel agents, or by your favourite holiday destination abroad. With a specialist category for children’s holidays, the tourism directory selection provides a little something to suit everyone’s holiday destination and accommodation requirements.

About Blackpool - show infohide info

Blackpool is a thriving resort on the north-west coast of England and is the busiest tourist resort in the whole of Europe. More than 17 million tourists flock to Blackpool every year, to see the tower and the resort's other famous attractions, including the promenade trams, the three piers, the Illuminations and Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Southern Blackpool is called South Shore and boasts shops, the Pleasure Beach and the Sandcastle attraction. The heart of the town is central Blackpool, where visitors can find the Golden Mile - arcades, restaurants, the Tower, cafes and other attractions. Towards the north shore area, visitors will find a multitude of hotels and routes into Bispham, Thornton, Cleveleys and Fleetwood, once a thriving fishing port. Fathered by Henry Banks, a property owner and developer in 1810, Blackpool has developed from a barren wasteland to one of Europe's most famous holiday resorts.
